What should I wear?
Attire for the REAL Leadership Experience is summer business casual. Sun dresses, skirts, capri pants, nice sleeveless tops and sandals are all acceptable. Please no jeans, shorts, sweats, flips flops or midriff-baring tops. We want you to be comfortable, as it will be hot in Oklahoma in July. You will be provided a name badge upon arrival and will be expected to wear this throughout the weekend.

What should I bring?


  • Twin sheet set or a sleeping bag
  • Blanket (the rooms get cold)
  • Pillow

Personal Care

  • Towel
  • Washcloth
  • Shower shoes
  • A bag or caddy to carry supplies to and from the bathroom
  • Shampoo/conditioner/body wash, etc.
  • A robe

Additional Considerations

  • Summer business casual attire
  • Gamma Phi Beta apparel for casual evenings
  • A light sweater or wrap in case the facility is chilly
  • Appropriate sleepwear
  • Phone charger
  • Money for personal expenses

House Rules
Gamma Phi Beta is excited to use the Psi Chapter facility for the REAL Leadership Experience. As the space will be used to house our attendees and host events, we have established a facility curfew with quiet hours for the second level of the facility from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Please know that the chapter facility is a shared space. All REAL Leadership Experience attendees will be using the communal bathroom areas. Please be respectful of the space and allow all attendees to use the facility equally.

What is included?

  • Complimentary transportation to/from Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City to the Psi Chapter facility
  • Customized programming for your emerging leadership role
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • Meals to include:
    • Day one – buffet dinner
    • Day two – heavy continental breakfast, buffet lunch, afternoon snack and dinner
    • Day three – heavy continental breakfast, buffet lunch, afternoon snack and dinner
    • Day four – heavy continental breakfast, boxed lunch

I want to attend a different session than I was approved for. How do I do this?
You were assigned a session based on your availability. It is unlikely that we will be able to accommodate you in a different session as we have a limited number of spots per session. If you are unable to attend the session you were selected for, you will have most likely have to forego your spot. Please email Director of Conferences and Meetings Page Adams to inquire further.

How do I get a transfer to/from Will Rogers World Airport to the Psi Chapter facility?
Gamma Phi Beta will book all transportation to and from the airport for you.

What time do I need to arrive on day one?
Please make sure you have checked in at the Psi Chapter facility with Gamma Phi Beta staff no later than 4 p.m. The Welcome Dinner will begin at 5 p.m.

What time do we end on day four?
All programming will be wrapped up by 12 p.m. on the last day. We will provide you with a boxed lunch as you depart.

What about my flight details?
Before securing your flight, please email the details of the flight you plan to book to Sara Chojnacki for approval. All flights must be approved prior to booking. If you are having issues or problems finding appropriate travel times or flights that meet chapter cost guidelines, email Sara for assistance.

Please ensure that all flights have been booked and details have been entered into the registration system by June 22, 2019. No exceptions.

How do I add flight information or make changes to my registration?
Please go to our registration site here. Under the ‘Register Now’ button, please click on ‘Already Registered?’ You will need to enter the email address you registered with and the confirmation number for your registration.

My chapter’s funds are not sufficient to be able to cover my airfare costs for RLE. How do I apply for a scholarship in order to attend?
Click here to apply for an RLE airfare scholarship. If selected, this scholarship will cover your flight costs up to $450. All submissions are due by May 31 in order to be eligible for consideration. Selected participants will be notified by Monday, June 3. If applying for an airfare scholarship, please refrain from booking your flight until after the scholarships are awarded, at which time you will be provided with further details.

I have special dietary needs. Who do I contact?
Please indicate your allergies or dietary needs when you register. We will make sure to provide you with meals throughout the weekend that meet your dietary concerns.

What will the weather be like?
The average high in July is 92 degrees and the average low is 71 degrees. The average precipitation is 2.99 inches of rain for the month, with an average of 75 percent sunny days. The sun rises at approximately 6:31 a.m. and sets at approximately 8:41 p.m.

What expenses can I or my chapter expect to incur over the weekend?

  • Parking at your local airport or transportation to and from your local airport
  • Checked luggage
  • Travel meals or snacks
  • Spending money for free time in Norman
